Your child can start from zero. Favourite games, animals and everyday interests give you a useful starting point to discuss with Alex. Reading Cyrillic is something to learn together, rather than a prerequisite for the trial.
Perhaps your child understands relatives but replies in English, or speaks comfortably and is beginning to read. Describe that experience to Alex so you can discuss the next goal for your child.
Share their age and the Russian they currently hear, understand, say or read. Everyday examples are useful.
Think of a favourite game, story or topic. This helps Alex understand what catches your child's attention.
Would you like to support family conversations, explore first words or practise reading? Ask about timing, materials and your role between lessons.
If your child is curious about the letters, look at a few familiar shapes together. The free alphabet path explains the sounds, and the quiz gives feedback after each answer. Choose a small activity that fits their interest.
Alex teaches children from age 4, using play and short activities adapted to their attention span and interests. Share your child's age and experience when arranging the trial.
Absolute beginners are welcome. If your child already hears or speaks Russian, tell Alex what they understand, say and read so the conversation starts from their experience.
The free 30-minute trial takes place on Google Meet. It is a chance to discuss your child's goals and interests, try a little Russian and decide on a useful next step together.
